Base Tuition:
MIT works to help graduate students handle tuition and other costs by matching qualifying students with a range of financial supports: loans, limited fellowships, teaching and research assistantships, and merit awards, among others. Some support is granted on the basis of financial need, some on a combination of merit and need. Once you are admitted, the MIT Graduate Students Office can help you make a financial plan. Tuition and costs for 2007-2008 are broken out below. Please note that costs vary widely, depending on your lifestyle, the size of your household, and other personal choices. Most of our graduate students make one tuition payment before each term. Students can also choose the MIT Monthly Payment Plan, which allows them to pay tuition in four installments during the term.
