Description of Learning Environment for Students:
The University of Notre Dame's M.B.A. program is solidly based on the vision of its founders to help develop the student's fullest potential and send him or her forth to make a difference in the world. This is accomplished by developing in the student the following portfolio of skills: critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, a global business perspective, and the manager's ability to make practical and ethical business decisions. With more than 100 elective courses, six concentration tracks, and two formats, the Notre Dame M.B.A. program provides students with a challenging and flexible educational experience.

Notre Dame's state-of-the-art Mendoza College of Business complex, opened in 1995, features a multimedia amphitheater, a computer lab, a two-level M.B.A. lounge, team rooms equipped with networked computers, and Media-on-Call classrooms with computer controls and a fiber-optic network that provides faculty members with access to satellite feeds from major international networks. The Doermer Family M.B.A. Career Development Center opened in 1999 and is equipped with the latest videoconferencing technology. In August 2003, Mendoza opened the Giovanini Commons, an 8,500-square-foot interactive space. To facilitate communication, creative thinking, and group problem solving, the design allows for complete flexibility and customization.

Notre Dame is a campus without boundaries. Every student is linked to the University's advanced computer network and has instant desktop access to the latest versions of leading business application software. The Thomas J. Mahaffey Jr. Business Information Center (BIC) provides students with easy online access to complete electronic business resources, such as Dow Jones News Retrieval Service, LexisNexis, General BusinessFile ASAP, and Bridge real-time investment information. The Mendoza College of Business's Information Technology Management (ITM) Laboratory enables students to develop software applications, test innovative hardware and software configurations, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities that are based on information technology applications.
