Admissions Criteria

Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis from September – April each year. Our admissions committee carefully reviews the comprehensive experience, ability and aspirations of each applicant, selecting those students who will be most successful in the program. The minimum criteria for admission include:
- Significant, progressive work experience (minimum of 5 years)
- A 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated management potential, leadership qualities, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic
- Desire to grow personally and contribute to a collaborative, team-style environment

Application Process

Admission to the Broad Executive MBA program requires the submission of the online application as well as other supporting materials, listed below:
- Complete the online application
- 2 professional recommendations
- 2 articulate, clear and compelling essays
- Official (sealed) academic transcripts from all prior academic institutions
- Strong GMAT/GRE score (an advanced degree or extensive managerial progression may warrant a waiver)
- Schedule a personal interview
- Pay the application fee

Broad Executive MBA
The Michigan State University Executive MBA program at the Broad Graduate School of Management is an intensive 20-month program that incorporates the rigor of a full-time MBA program with the integrative management curriculum and weekend schedule of an executive program. The program is designed for mid-career professionals looking to take their career to the next level, whether that is the C-suite or a new career. The Broad Executive MBA is a smart investment that transforms high potential into high performance.

The program actively selects students from diverse educational backgrounds, functional specialties and industries to create a well-rounded education setting that encourages cross-functional learning. Students join a powerful network of exceptional professionals in a program that is intensely challenging but produces life-long rewards.

The face-to-face collaborative classes meet every other weekend on Friday evenings and all-day Saturday. Students begin their program with a weeklong intensive residency and also gain an international perspective with the optional global residency. With campuses in East Lansing and Troy, Mich., the Broad Executive MBA is an easy commute from anywhere in the Great Lakes region.

Program Format
The Broad Executive MBA program is divided into semesters beginning with a weeklong intensive residency in East Lansing, Mich. at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development. Following the residency week, classes meet on every other Friday evening and Saturday all day at either the East Lansing or Troy, Mich. campuses. Graduates earn an internationally recognized Michigan State University MBA degree in 20 months.
