Description of Learning Environment

Our EMBA programs combine quarterly on-campus learning with advanced online instruction and interaction. Between campus residencies, you interact with your group members, work on team assignments, discuss management issues, and interact with the faculty. You do this from home to minimize disruptions to work and family obligations. The online component provides a foundation for the class sessions held during the residencies. We adhere to a cohort approach – all students start the program together and go through the whole program together.

Relevant Information on Faculty

We engage our top faculty to teach in the Executive Education program. They bring insights from their many years as instructors and from working with companies around the world.

Military
Purdue University is a military-friendly university. We are a Yellow Ribbon school and offer both a Veterans Success Center and a dedicated Military and Veterans Affairs office in the Krannert School of Management. At the Executive Education level, one of our team members is a veteran. Partial scholarships are also provided to defray the costs of travel to campus and/or tuition costs on an as-needed basis. Also, tuition deposits are waived for our veteran and active duty students.

As Purdue is a public university with no tuition differential between the in-state and out-of-state tuition for the global and domestic Executive MBA programs, your EMBA can be fully funded through the Post 9-11 GI Bill, with 100 percent eligibility. Here is more information important to veterans and active duty personnel.

The format of quarterly travel to campus is flexible for both active duty personnel and veterans, as they can be anywhere in the world and still participate in the program. The on-campus residencies are designed to form strong bonds and comradery across the students, a feature especially appreciated by our students with a military background. Approximately 20 percent of each cohort has students who are active duty or veterans. Reflective of this percentage, we value military experience equally with civilian experience. As such, persons with at least five years military experience are encouraged to apply to our programs.
