Accreditation

The Olin Business School is the only highly ranked business school in the United States to earn triple accreditation, a level that only 1% of all business schools in the world achieve. The Olin Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBA (AMBA), and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Admission Requirements

The Olin application comprises several steps, our online application will help guide you through all requirements. Our application review is based upon:
1. An online application, which requires candidates to provide basic information.
2. Written responses to essay prompts.
3. An uploaded resume.
4. An uploaded copy of the undergraduate transcript.
5. A professional recommendation (applicants will provide contact information at time of application.)
6. GMAT or GRE results (as required for program admission.)
7. Admissions interview or recorded video responses to question prompts or admissions interview (depending upon the intended program.)

There is no application fee; the Olin Admissions Committee seeks to judge all serious candidates on the merits of their application, not on their ability to pay an application fee. For applicants to our FTMBA program, the Committee extends interview invitations to select candidates after a preliminary review of application materials.

Description of Learning Environment for Students

At Washington University, students find a supportive community where each person's interests and ideas make a difference. Approximately 150 students start the Olin Full-time MBA Program each August -- making it among the smallest of the top-tier programs -- so they’re assured of receiving individual attention from the faculty and staff.

In addition to its size, distinguishing characteristics of the Olin MBA include an academically challenging curriculum that allows a very high degree of flexibility, and numerous opportunities for applied learning -- especially ideal for MBAs transitioning from the military. At Washington University, students design a program of study that enables them to build on strengths and interests; to broaden their knowledge; to sharpen their business skills; and to incorporate their personal, professional and extracurricular experiences.

Olin students are especially attractive hires for top companies around the globe. The staff of Olin's Weston Career Center are career coaches, job-search partners and overall advocates, helping our MBAs build the networking, interviewing and negotiating skills for a lifetime of career management.

Tuition

All of Washington University’s graduate business programs are full participants in the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill’s Yellow Ribbon Program. Tuition rates for all our programs can be found on our website.

Special scholarships, up to and including to full tuition, are available for U.S. military veterans applying to the Full-time MBA Program.

Faculty

Olin faculty come from a variety of backgrounds, but all are committed to guiding students to personal accomplishment in their particular fields. Their personal biographies reveal a comprehensive, incredible depth of expertise across all areas of business and management. The Olin MBA faculty have an open-door policy -- they are accessible for one-on-one consultations, to address an individual's specific educational needs -- and are eager to help students succeed.

Military

Whether a candidate is just now separating from the service or has been in the civilian work force for some time, earning an MBA at Washington University is an extremely smart investment in one’s future. Olin’s military MBAs have a proven track record of landing excellent, high-paying and high-responsibility jobs with outstanding companies. Through the years, nearly all the school’s military MBAs have accepted a job by graduation, with an average starting salary of more than $100,000.

Scholarships, up to and including full-tuition, are available specifically for individuals with U.S. military experience -- and those candidates are also eligible for other scholarship funds. The student-run Olin Veterans Association adds additional support and service as you begin your new career.
