Admission Requirements

The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary seeks applicants ready to make a difference and redefine what it means to be a leader. Ideal candidates are career-minded individuals who embrace the challenges and rewards of balancing work, school, and family.

Applicants are accepted from a wide range of academic fields and professional disciplines, but are required to have:
• A minimum of two years of work experience
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university

The key steps in the application process are:
1. Request Official Transcripts
Students must have completed a bachelor’s degree in from an accredited university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Official transcripts from ALL your college-level coursework are required. Most institutions offer electronic transcripts, which is the most expeditious way to go.

2. Complete the Online Application
The online application consists of:
  > Contact and background information
  > Essays (2)
  > Letters of Professional Recommendations (2)
  > Resume/CV showing a minimum of two years of work experience

3. Submit GMAT or GRE Test Scores or Approved GMAT Waiver*
Designate the College of William & Mary Mason School of Business when taking your exam by submitting the appropriate code.
  > GMAT: 9DD-X7-22
  > GRE: 6987

GMAT is highly preferred. Scores below 500 will not be considered, and applicants with scores from 500-550 are encouraged to retake the exam. Test scores are valid for 5 years.

* Under certain circumstances, applicants may request a waiver of the GMAT requirement when applying to the Online MBA Program. Learn more about the GMAT waiver policy.

4. Schedule a Personal Admission Interview
Qualified applicants will be invited to schedule a personal admission interview. Interviews can be conducted via Skype or by telephone.

5. Pay Application Fee: $100
The application fee may be waived for early applicants (by priority deadline), referred applicants, active duty military, veterans, volunteers in organizations such as Peace Corps, Teach for America, or AmeriCorps, and at the discretion of the Admission office. Please contact the Admissions office to request your application fee waiver prior to submitting your application.

Per Credit Hour (less than nine per semester) - $1020
Total - $49,980 ($1020 per credit x 49 credits)
Graduation Fee - $85

Additional Fees
Residencies fee will be determined before registration.

*Annual increases in tuition and fees are announced each May by the William & Mary Board of Visitors, and take effect in August.
