Master in Business for Veterans: Designed for active-duty military, veterans, National Guard, and Reserve personnel, the Master of Business for Veterans pairs your proven leadership experience with business knowledge to accelerate your civilian career. You’ll gain hands-on experience through real client projects, personalized career support, and the knowledge to grow and lead organizations with confidence.
One-Year MBA: Enjoy a full MBA experience—including leadership development, client projects, global immersions, and professional development—within just 12 months. Goizueta delivers four distinct One-MBA programs (Accelerated MBA, Global MBA, Healthcare MBA, Real Estate MBA) designed for professionals who know where they want to go and are ready to get there faster. Through our admission process we seek to learn about your academic preparedness, your career path, and your community leadership.

Goizueta Business School provides a range of financial assistance options including:
• Yellow Ribbon Program: Goizueta awards Yellow Ribbon funding to all eligible candidates, which is matched by the Veterans Administration. When combined with GI Bill education benefits, this results in a full tuition coverage for many of our degrees.
• Military Consortium: Goizueta is associated with the Military Consortium, an organization under the umbrella of The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC); benefits include waived application fee, a one-year deferment, and flexible application deadlines.
• United States Military Academy Fellowships: Goizueta offers up to three fellowships to One-Year MBA students who are stationed as admissions staff at the USMA, West Point. This program, offered in collaboration between the USMA and Goizueta Business School, provides the balance of tuition for selected recipients.
• Georgia National Guard Fellowships: Goizueta offers two fellowships each year to the part-time Evening MBA for Georgia National Guardsmen. Your application must include a letter of recommendation from Guard leadership. Full cost of attendance is provided by Goizueta, less at least 50% GI Bill contribution.
• Fort Moore Fellowships: In partnership with the Fort Moore Maneuver Center of Excellence, Goizueta offers up to four fellowships each year to Executive MBA students who are stationed at Fort Moore in Columbus, GA. Full cost of attendance is provided by Goizueta Business School, less any GI Bill contribution.

The Goizueta Veterans Club and Emory Veteran Association link student-veterans across degree programs. Their activities engage our veteran alumni network as well as the active Fortune 500 company veteran organizations here in the Atlanta area. Through an extensive network of student veterans, administrators, and faculty, it brings all of Emory’s vast resources to bear to help Veterans and their families.

Our innovative curriculum elevates the intensive case study method with practical applications in team-based assignments and peer-to-peer learning. For example, leadership development activities including peer coaching, the Fort Benning Leader’s Reaction Course, and sailing in the Virgina Islands; and our IMPACT course is a core requirement where students learn different approaches to problem-solving, persuasive presentation, and team collaboration and use these skills to develop real solutions to a real problem for a real client. Our veterans find this course to enhance skills developed in the military and help them translate their approach to the civilian workforce.

Faculty

Notable, some faculty and staff have served in the military including Major General (Ret) Matt Smith who serves as Executive Director of Veterans Initiatives. His formidable military experience and impressive civilian career bring a unique perspective to conversations about leadership in business, and he provides additional support to our active-duty and transitioning service members.
