About The School
The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego develops ethical and entrepreneurial leaders who make a positive impact in the world through innovation, collaboration and knowledge. The school’s collaborative culture is based on the five core values of innovation, impact, collaboration, integrity and risk-taking. Since 2003, Rady students and alumni have developed over 180 companies.
The Rady School is the only new business school created at a U.S. News & World Report top 10 ranked public research university during the past 30 years, and is one of the youngest in the nation ever to achieve AACSB recognition.
UC San Diego's lineage includes 16 Nobel Laureates (former and current faculty) and eight MacArthur Foundation award recipients. The Rady School is at the nexus of this research, development and innovation.
Degree Programs
The Rady School offers a Full-Time MBA program, FlexWeekend MBA and FlexEvening MBA programs designed for working professionals, a Master of Finance program, a full-time Master of Science in Business Analytics and FlexWeekend MSBA (starting fall 2021), a Master of Professional Accountancy, a PhD program, as well as undergraduate and executive education courses.
27% of FlexWeekend MBA students and 14% of FlexEvening MBA students entering Fall 2019 have a military background.
Due to applicants' reduced ability to access and prepare for the GMAT or GRE as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will waive the GRE/GMAT requirement for all FlexEvening and FlexWeekend MBA applicants for Fall 2020. All applications must be submitted before the final deadline of July 15 for the Fall 2020 enrollment.

Transitioning From The Military
How a Navy Seal Solidified His Transition Plan @ Rady
The Rady MBA core curriculum provides the analytical tools and business fundamentals needed to succeed in a business environment. Then, in your Lab to Market capstone project and in a variety of action learning electives, you will apply those fundamentals to real business problems, building a portfolio of experiences that assist in career transition. The Rady School’s small size means that our Career Management Center can provide individualized attention as you assess your strengths and explore the career path that is right for you.
Advancing Your Military Career
A Rady MBA creates a competitive career advantage by providing a rigorous education in business in an environment that aligns with the values of the military. More importantly, it enhances the contribution you can make to national defense, enabling you to be more effective in leading larger and more complex organizations in a period of change.

“Being accepted into Rady was a life changing experience and really solidified the transition plan that I had from the military into the civilian world. Completing the FlexWeekend MBA program has been a huge benefit and allowed me to put my best foot forward. The VA has funded almost all of my education here and it’s made the transition very easy.”
