Graduate & Executive Business Degree Programs

Villanova’s Augustinian Catholic tradition is the cornerstone of an academic community where students learn to think critically, act compassionately, and succeed while serving others.

Following are the programs we’re proud to offer at the Villanova School of Business. Please click on any program name to learn more about that specific program.

Our 21-month Executive MBA (EMBA) program is designed for the seasoned professional and has, at its foundation, an integrated curriculum focused on strategic leadership and systemic thinking.

The Fast Track MBA is our other two-year, lock-step cohort MBA program which enables students to take advantage of the benefits of a full-time MBA program while continuing to work.

The Flex Track MBA is the most flexible of our MBA programs. It is designed for working professionals who want a convenient, self-paced learning experience that empowers them to enhance their skills and careers.

In today’s hyper-competitive business world, many law firms and businesses covet students with a Joint JD/MBA degree. An MBA helps you to understand the intricacies of business and enhances the practice of law, while a JD helps you to understand the laws governing business, putting intellectual clout behind decisions and ventures.

The Master of Accountancy (MAC) is designed for those aspiring for a career in accounting and, combined with the appropriate undergraduate degree, will provide students the 150 credit hours required by most states to sit for the CPA exam.

The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) is a rigorous, 12-month full-time degree program intended to help students launch their career in finance. MSF classes utilize Villanova’s nationally recognized Applied Finance Lab, which provides access to the same advanced resources and real-time information as Wall Street traders.

Accreditation

The Villanova School of Business is proud to be accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Less than 5% of business schools worldwide have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence in management education.

Our Learning Environment

There is no set formula for what makes an effective leader. There are, however, characteristics that are absolutely critical. Ambition. The ability to collaborate. Ethics. Intellectual curiosity. Integrity. Social responsibility. An awareness of the global marketplace. An open mind. A creative spirit.

These qualities run through our community at the Villanova School of Business. Our focus is on providing an applied education that prepares students to become outstanding leaders and global citizens within the ever-changing, complex, and fast-paced world of business.

Our graduate business programs combine the critical elements of a superior business education:

  • A demanding and challenging course of study—combining core business practices, cutting-edge concepts from the constantly changing business world, and a deep grounding in responsible leadership.
  • Faculty members who are highly regarded as teachers, researchers, and scholars, with a wide range of professional experience. They teach in an adaptive learning environment where the focus is on helping students learn how to better themselves, their organizations, and their communities.
  • A diverse student population and an environment which fosters peer learning. Our students have impressive professional experience, intellect, and an overall passion for learning.

We also recognize that learning isn’t limited to the classroom, and that academics must be constantly in tune with the fast-paced, ever-changing business world in order to remain ahead of the curve. To support this effort, we host lectures, panels, and workshops throughout the year which feature nationally recognized business executives, industry analysts, and global thought leaders. They address diverse, top-of-mind issues that are relevant to working professionals.

Our Faculty

Talented. Dedicated. Progressive. World-class. These are just a few of the words that describe the faculty at the Villanova School of Business.

Our faculty members are widely recognized for excellence in both teaching and research. They are scholarly leaders and real-world problem solvers. They are professional mentors and ethical role models. Many bring a wealth of practical experience from careers in finance, banking, sales, management, consulting, and beyond. And over 90 percent hold the highest degree in their respective discipline.

With a student-to-faculty ratio of only 15:1, our faculty are very accessible and our classes are small. Even core business courses have fewer than 35 students. What’s more, there are no graduate teaching assistants at Villanova. All classes are taught by faculty members. Our professors are here because they want to teach…and they want to see each and every student succeed.

Career Services

At Villanova we recognize that making the commitment to earn an MBA represents a choice to take your career to a higher level. We are committed to providing students with tools and resources to be successful in their next destination by partnering with the University Career Center, employers, alumni, and key business school stakeholders to support the career development of our students and alumni.

The following career and professional development services are readily available to all students:
- Career Seminars: Sample seminars we’ve conducted in the past are...
   > Keys to Successful Career Management
   > Networking
   > Job Search Process
   > Creating an Extraordinary Resume

- Sponsorship for Professional Conferences and Student Case Competitions

Testimonial

"As a Naval Officer I feel that the Navy has done a great job of teaching me leadership and management skills. Unfortunately, I feel that without pursuing an MBA my leadership skills would suffer from a lack of civilian perspective. Having received a B.S. in Biology at Villanova ‘07, I’ve had firsthand experience with Villanova’s guiding principles that truly set this school apart from other programs. Whether I decide to stay in the Navy for 20 years, or delve into the civilian world, I feel that the Villanova MBA program gives me the best opportunity for success."
LT Timothy A. Rustico, Villanova NROTC Unit
