Military
Military in the Xavier MBA
Post-9/11 GI Bill: This bill provides financial aid for tuition and housing to individuals who were in service on or after 9/11/01 or individuals who were honorably discharged with service related disabilities after 30 days. The GI Bill allows Xavier University the opportunity to offer veterans educational opportunities—paid in full by the GI Bill.
Yellow Ribbon Program:
- Yellow Ribbon Program: This is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
- For Xavier University the VA will cover $17,500 of the school’s tuition
- For the remaining tuition balance, Xavier will cover 50% and the VA will cover 50% (this 50/50 split is the Yellow Ribbon Program)
- Therefore, tuition is paid in full.
- Additionally, eligible veterans may receive an annual allowance for books and a monthly housing allowance.
The following is an example of a Full-Time MBA student enrolled in the Momentum MBA program and completing approximately 42 credit hours. Your actual tuition breakdown may vary based on the program you select.

Credit for Military Experience:
- Xavier gives no credit for military experience at the graduate level.
- Credit may be earned for academic courses successfully completed with a B or better.

EMBA Application Questions to Consider:
- Do you have the potential to successfully complete graduate work in business administration within a condensed and fast-paced program?
- Can you and your family commit mentally, physically, and financially to the 20-month program?
- If necessary, can your employer commit to allowing you the minimum of time off to attend class and/or are you willing to take vacation time to meet program commitments?
- Do you demonstrate maturity and attainment of a responsible, organizational position?
- Do you have a minimum of 7 years post-graduate, professional work experience or 10 years of leadership experience preferred as demonstrated by current full-time employment and proof of career progression? (Note: military veterans, experienced entrepreneurs, and independent consultants are also welcome to apply).
- Do you have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university? (Note: EMBA candidates without undergraduate degrees with significant managerial experience and leadership potential may also be considered).
Accreditation
Xavier University and the Williams College of Business is internationally accredited by AACSB - The Association to Advance Collegiate Business Schools. Only 15 percent of all business schools in the world hold AACSB accreditation - the highest, most rigorous accreditation possible.
Tuition
Executive MBA:
- 2011-2012: $61,250 for the entire program (includes tuition, textbooks, classroom materials, lab fees, lodging and ground transportation for international field experience (airfare is not included), graduation fees, campus parking, catered dining services and other administrative and beneficial services.) The entire program cost can be broken down into 5 semester payments over the length of 3 calendar years.
- $1000 nonrefundable deposit is due upon acceptance into the program but is applied to the overall program cost.
Part-Time Evening/Full-Time Momentum/Part-Time Weekend MBA Programs:
- 2011-2012: $740 per credit hour. The entire program is 56 credit hours but as many as 20 credit hours can be waived or tested out of for qualified candidates. Therefore, $26,640 minimum and $41,440 maximum depending on the number of credit hours you’ll need to complete your degree. Part-Time Offsite MBA programs vary by location. Please ask your advisor for more details.

Xavier University is a Jesuit, Catholic University located minutes away from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. With an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, students of our Williams College of Business leave our MBA program with the knowledge and breadth of critical thinking skills, ethical decision making, the use of technology in businesses, as well as possessing and applying an integrated understanding of functional areas of business, including the study experience of international business trips. The juxtaposition of these core competencies equips our MBA students with the dexterity to positively affect the ever changing world of business both regionally and globally.
At Xavier University Williams College of Business, we offer several different programs in order to fit the various lifestyles of our MBA students.
